First, lemme put it straight: yes, I'm pretty much curious since I do love all those tools and gizmos. And you're just like Pentax that had been teasing all the photo society with their digital MF 645D (until this summer '10): 'folks, we've got smth. Guess what?'. Man, I'd really love to have a look at it! :)
Secondly, as far as I see it, there're say two generations of test equipment. The early age: ISAT, SRS tester, ABS tester (89 96 514) and so on - when you do need to know certain codes to enter and paper manual to decrypt the tester output. The later generation equipment - e.g. Tech2 - is much more user-friendly (or dummy-friendly as old-school addictants may think to themselves), when user is working with text or even gui menu system and so on.
Having a picture of that tester (n.b.: see #1 above) I could possibly be lucky to guess some procedures on this tester to go with.
Zig
P.S.
Or just wait a bit for Larry, Simon and - especially - Anders. Smth tells me that these gentlemen can be of more help while being less demanding and curious about your new toy. Boy, oh boy, I'm really jealous!
