I kind of agree, but at the same time, good going Frank... possibly his car was just really nice... someone locally is trying to sell a rust free SPG for $6k... maybe it will sell. it's not the most attractive color... I'm cheap so I won't even look at it, but someone looking for a "fun" car to add to the stable, who loves Saabs + wants a well looked after classic might not care... $6k is not much to pay for a car, right? can easily get close to that in rust repair, paint jobs, transmission/engine work + many of us have been there... maybe there's not another easy option around... A guy up the street from me (with a 9-5) was patiently looking for a nice c900 sedan (not a hatch!?!), but not a major project. Most cheap ones that come up are major projects...
I had our winter beater at the dealer getting parts last year + was talking to a tech + he was excited (probably rarely sees a classic these days) + thought it was really worth something... it's a rusty na sedan...
but yeah, a little luck never hurt, eh?
James...
