... at least from what I've read re TCS on those cars... I've never owned a 9000, but from going through one in a pick + pull, they are *very* well built... that said (from researching when considering buying one), I'm not sure everyone would agree that the 9000 is necessarily the most reliable Saab mechanically... that the engines are bulletproof + everything else is at least very repairable, is more important than toyota like reliability to me anyway + the solidity + build quality is just not available anymore it seems... I wish they had put the key in the floor + while I love the back end of the late model hatches, I wish they had done the front end more like a c900, as the c900 front end aesthetics have aged more gracefully (to me)...
As far as c900s, imho 1989 is a fantastic year. Most of the best improvements are in, no ABS or airbags to complicate things now that the cars are old. Our 1989 has been a frigging rock.
