Last night I had a ridiculously small flash lite and had the car pulled off onto the grass, the idler pulley mounted in the center of the motor blew its bearings sending the idler wheel into the side of the motor catching the serpentine belt and destroying it. I had drove about 2 min. with the battery lite on and in this time the bottom hose to the radiator reservoir let loose exploding radiator fluid all over the battery and any and everything in the vicinity. I suppose it was about an hour sitting on the side of the hwy before i had thought to check the exhaust pipe. perhaps it was the 40 degree weather that built condensation in the muffler making it smoke, and with so much condensation when i put my finger in the muffler it looked like straight water.
Hearing the turbo unit is bullet proof puts a smile on my face. through-out the hole episode the motor never misfired it continued running smooth as silk & there wasnt any whine or any sound coming from the turbo unit so perhaps i can rest at ease. but for now the cars sitting at the Indy and it can sit there and rot for all i care I got the spg.
