nicknick and I have been trying to point him to the fact that the testlight boing out when he pulled his brake-light circuit fuse means that it is the brake light circuit where current has been draining.
I trust he has listened and noticed that this is so. Would appreciate it if he'd post back about it.
Other things could be current drains, but not this time for Earl, I think.
(Not sure what you're referring to as being your drain, actually, KB. Seat heaters don't get current when car is shut off. Device under the seats near rear ash tray?)
To Earl:
I did have a drain from a loose brake light switch, on a '92. When I discovered it I thought I could get by by lifting the brake pedal with my toe every time I shut the car off. It only stuck sometimes. But I also kept forgetting to do that.
In the end I fixed it by attaching the switch to its bracket with a gob of KB-Weld or similar goop, then fine tuned it by bending the sheet metal bracket with a crescent wrench.
It's above the knee bolster and a PIA. I think I remember you can drop the bracket, switch and all, by removing a 13mm-head bolt from the pedal cluster. Do some searches on here.
