Any tips or write-ups for dash fascia removal? Posted by CBS [Email] (#969) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CBS) on Wed, 10 Aug 2011 16:32:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Some of you may remember my feeble attempts at gluing the rubbery face back onto a dash fascia. Contact cement, 3M trim cement...nothing worked and now that rubber stuff is peeling off all over. So I did find a decent replacement and the time is right to replace it. Anyone have a write up or tips on which knobs/ect. need to come off and which do not? Hmmm, maybe time to go with LED back-lights too.? PS, I took the knee bolster off recently and one of the long screws that hold the fascia on fell down. I literally spent 2 hours trying to stick it back up into the recieving bolt/hole...is that a reasonable amount of time in order to give up and just leave this bolt out, or should I give it some more time, or should I glue in new guide tubes for the new fascia (they are hanging loose)? So, sorry, I guess I have 3 questions in this long paragraph.
