The connections for vent control switch. These are simple spade connectors and you need to note which wire goes to which connector (take a picture before you unplug them or take good notes). Also note that that all of the vacuum lines connect to a large plastic piece that fits onto the back of this switch. You pry loose the large metal retaining 'ring'; you do not have to remove any of the vacuumm lines individually, unless they are damaged and you want to replace them.
Remove the radio first, before the screws holding the fascia in. I almost always remove the steering wheel to do this job. If you have an air bag, disconnect the battery first (it is a good idea under any circumstances) and do not reconnect the battery until EVERYTHING is hooked back up.
After removing the large screws from below, start disconnecting switches from left to right. This will let you have access to the switches on the right more easily. Re-installation goes right to left, starting with the vent control switch. I feed the connectors for the square AC, hazard, recirc, and defog switch through the holes and tape them in place, then connect every thing else doing them last, followed by hooking up the radio last. Remove the left speaker cover and be double sure you've got the heater control rod attached at both ends before screwing the fascia back in and putting the console back on.
