Have to give that a try. I tried wiping out the groove - it was a PITA, and the thing was still glued down like it had been welded - guess I didn't get enough of the residue out!
I've only been using thing stuff for a couple of years, but so far so good. I almost always have a coating of fiberglass resin over the POR-15, followed by rubberized undercoating on fender work, so I doubt much humidity is making it to the underlying rust.
I'd still prefer to cut it out and weld in new metal whenever it's practical, but still think this stuff is a great plan B when time, money, or access doesn't let me do it the preferred way.
