Stock tire size for a 9000 with 15x6 is 195/65-15, the same as a c900.
I have run 15x6 9000 rims on my 900s for nearly ten years now, without issue. (A summer-only 205/55-15 fits the 15x6 better and provides better performance, without changing diameter.)
Also, the 9000 rim offset does not keep the rim centered, but it does preserve inner clearance (so that extra 1/2 inch of tire goes to the outside of the car when mounted on a c900). I'm guessing that the difference in offset between the two models has more to do with scrub radius than clearance, though, as the two cars have completely different front suspensions.
