Car wont start. Arcing and Ignition issues?

Three days ago my car would not start. It would turnover and almost seem to fire but would come just shy. AAA came with a booster pack and still nothing. The next day I did jump it and let it idle for an hour. It had a very weak idle when in reverse and struggled and stalled. It had slightly stronger idle in park and seemed almost normal when in drive. After each stall it would start back up instantly. I then drove 10 miles, shut it off for an hour, and drove another 10 back. The Check engine light came on during my return although I noticed no change in the handling.

Last night it would not start once again. I tried boosting it with no luck. When turning over I noticed arcing on a very thin wire running from the ignition coil through a small bracket on the interior right frame and then to a bolt on the metal encasing of the distributer where the cap brackets attach. The arcing took place where the wire met the frame.

I replaced the distributer cap this morning although it looked fine. The plug wires were replaced within the past year. And the plugs were replaced a couple years ago.

Now it doesn’t even make a sound when I try to start it. I think this is a separate issue with my key being jammed because I cant seem to get it back into the lock position between the starting attempts. Please Help!
