The pump is married to the tank - you can't swap one without the other.
I've put a Bosch pump/tank into a Walbro car without issue, so I assume the other way is possible as well. You need to swap the fuel lines and bottom straps as well. I suppose you could just cut the fuel lines and marry them back together at the back using high-pressure fuel injection line, too. That would save a fair amount of dragging fuel lines through the car, although you end up with a junction and a potential leak point. I've patched a few fuel lines in the past with hose and never had a problem, but it's still a consideration.
FWIW, the earlier Bosch system is pretty typical '80s technology. The later Walbro system is typical '90s technology. I don't think one is better than the other. That said, at some point I will be swapping my '85 SPG to a '90+ fuel system, simply because it makes installing a 255lph Walbro pump easier.
