and the location of the shaft pin is in the identical location on both boxes(just as Cmyles said) being there's no difference in the shaft`s, So say if I removed the pin then pulled the motor out of the car there wouldn't be an issue.
Its the coupling thats the problem. The coupling out of the vert is an inch longer on the shaft that slides over the gear box shaft than the 3 door hatch coupling. Reason I went with pulling the u bolt instead of pulling the pin is simple, took a hole 3min. to unbolt it.
I`d never think in my wildest dreams there is or would be a longer coupling. but there is now I need to pull the pin`s out of both boxes and swap the coupling over. I`m thinking of just drilling out the pins and replacing them with bolts fastest way I can think to remove them
After thinking about it for a bit I cant cut the shaft shorter coming out of the 3-dr hatch becouse that would enable me to use the longer coupling, and say down the road sometime my 94verts auto box goes and I want to swap in the clutch from the parts car,. that shaft in the parts car is going to require this longer coupling.
