'93 900T auto. Occasionally, the car won't start. Turn the key, and it won't engage the starter. The tumbler is turning far enough to start the car, because I can feel the spring tension. I've tried flipping the key around, moving the shifter, still nothing. Odd thing is that it doesn't happen all the time. It usually starts up fine. Just once in a while the key just won't engage the starter. But it's been happening more frequently. Yesterday I replaced the ignition switch and neutral safety switch, cleaned all the contacts and thought I was all set. Then today after work, again--no start. I can start the car by turning the key to the run position, and bumping the starter with a jumper wire in the fuse box underhood, but that is getting old. Any suggestions? I'm seriously thinking of putting in a dash-mounted start button to engage the starter at this point. Since I can start the car from the fuse box, I figure it has to be something between the ignition switch and the starter.
