fuel filler neck just above the main hose to tank? You could put in a barbed plastic connector and add you leakage hose to that?
I'm thinking this will save you having to cut into the fuel hoses themselves, and if you ever need to remove it, you can block the hole in the hard plastic more easily than a hose.
Otherwise, perhaps you could add a "T" fitting to the fuel pump return line. You'd have to cut out a little bit of the hard plastic fuel piping, but maybe that would remove and evaporative system worries.
