could you please do me a favour and pull out those two dummy inserts beneath temperature-fuel cluster and make a photo (or even two photographs) of the instruments front having some torchlight flashing into those holes? I suspect one of them to be the temperature light symbol (right by the temperature gauge), but not so sure about the second one.
Also it'd very nice if you trace it electrically to check whether bulbs - should they be inserted there - are toggled on and off with positive or negative potential and what pin at what connector should that potential come from.
I've been thinking of doing this little research by myself for last three years, but haven't done it yet because of being scary to remove the dash (I'm told it's big PITA). An absence of garage doesn't help me with this either.
