think twice... it's pretty easy for these sunroofs to clog etc and then leak... sometimes they are easy to clean out and other times less so. Also they do tend to rust in where the screws go on the underside of the sunroof panel (hard to describe).
Jimmy is right that there is a lip in the roof, so although you could cut a hole, it would not be quite right... plus you'd have to add some wiring, different switchpack, etc (depending on the year - newer ones had the roof integrated in the main window pack, older eg our 1989 were in front of the shifter... actually, you could mount an older switch there in a newer car since that is normally blank...
imho it's more involved than it's worth, but if you live somewhere with minimal rain/snow and keep it garaged, might be worth it to you?
