Bob, I just replaced mine and all the above info is good ... one thing I would add is that I had to get a steering wheel puller, tap two holes in the steering wheel and break the wheel off. The wheel had been removed by the prior owner and was overtightened. No way was it coming off by brut force. (Funny thing earlier Saabs prior to having Air Bags fitted their steering wheels with the thearded holes for steering wheel pullers!)
And the other thing is I had to pull down the knee bolster slightly (only on the drivers side) to get at the two connecters from the clock spring.
Finally, even though you have disconnected the battery, discharge any static electricity you may have by touching the ubpainted body of the car prior to handling the Air Bag. I usually touch the striker plate for the door.
