It's not unusual for a head bolt hole to have a few rough threads near the deck and causes no problem. Remember that these blocks have high nickel content, it takes a lot to tear out a thread even a rough one. Ten thousandths is a lot to take off a B202 head that isn't warped. I usually just clean off the old gasket crap and if it is less than 0.002" out of flat I bolt it right back on and it will seal fine. Re-use your OEM head bolts too. This ain't a Chevy crap.
