I've driven several of those old Bosch pumps. I did get some warning on a couple that died. Blowing fuses, dying then starting again is what I remember. Had more trouble with the pre-pumps. The Bosch main pumps ran a good 250K, that's miles. I only had one alternator die. I think it had 300K on it. The others I got to keep going but they usually needed a regulator @ 120K. I replace the clutch master and slave seals before they blow. My son had the clutch line hose blow on 2 different cars in Vancouver. He was able to get the hose from a Saab indie in Vancouver. I think the shop has a Bob as the shop name or owner. The last time he blew a hose was several months ago. He fixed it on the side of the street. I mentioned it in a post this winter.
