Another CA smog question: Star Stations?

Both my 87 900tbo and 92 900S are due for California smog checks within the next six weeks. I'm getting both cars ready (that story is longer than I care to write about here).
I've been instructed by Ca DMV to visit only a Star-Certified station for the tests (for both cars).
I can only guess that since my exhaust readout numbers (actually just the NOX) in recent visits have been close to failing, they're expecting to find either funny business under the hood or failing emissions status on both cars.
The 92 900S is up first and suffers one problem that has me worried: the ANTILOCK and BRAKE FLUID dummy lights in the top right of the instrument panel will flash on and then fade off whenever the car is running and the brake pedal gets pressed. The lights do not remain illuminated and there are no indications of any braking problems (yet).
I've read here that this flashing phenomenon could be an indication of either a failing pressure accumulator or a dirty/maladjusted speed sensor.
I haven't addressed this problem on this car because beyond the lights flashing, there are no discernible problems. I'll address the problem when I notice changes in the braking.
Can the Star-Certified inspection place fail me for these lights flashing? I'm motivated to unscrew these particular dash lightbulbs for the test to hide this (non)problem.
Should I dress semi-formal when dropping the car off at the Star station?
Opinions from California residents? Thanks.
