has anyone had any success in this? in the salt belt?
both my c900's are down at the moment! the downpipe on our summer car cracked at the flange - I thought it was a simple tightening of the joint, but nope... so now I need to replace the downpipe, which is fine because I had one on hand for the winter beater (which currently has it's exhaust removed)...
as hard as I try (I've used loads of penetrating fluid), I can't get either O2 sensor out of either mangled useless downpipe... one is 2 years old, the other 5. The last time I did this I had to destroy the (very old) O2 sensor, drill it out, then cut into it with a jig saw, and chase the threads with a tap to reuse a downpipe...
So am I wasting my time? I was hoping 2 years old (with antisieze) would come out a little better than this! I've got a new one on order from eeuro for the summer car, but I'm hoping to reuse one of the old ones on the winter beater if possible (in part to keep the cost reasonable)!
