Got it installed tonight. It's quite a bit taller than I believed it to be from the pictures... it descends a smidge beyond the spaghetti straps (no skid plate for me!). I don't think it will be a problem as I'm pretty careful with the height of the car, but in broad terms it's a concern. I've not bottomed out a c900 since 2002, but not sure I'd recommend this "solution" to just anyone.

I coated the threads and underside of the head with a thin film of Permatex Ultra Grey and torqued it to 25 lb ft. The head is a big 27mm hex, so thers is a LOT of surface against the boss on the transmission. Hopefully JB Weld + RTV + big contact = no leaks. ;) Gonna let it dry overnight before adding oil, but we'll see what happens. I'll post a picture for posterity once it's light out again.
