Very gently cut through the dum-dum (the gooey grey non-drying caulk) along the bottom and try to remove the liner in one piece. When you reinstall it, press the dum-dum on the liner and back onto the stuff on the door - it should stick back together.
The dum-dum is arranged so that any moisture that gets into the door and falls onto the liner will be directed to a drain hole that will send it back into the door so it can go out through one of the drain slots at the bottom seam of the door. If you don't get it quite right, moisture will dribble between the door and the door panel and collect on the rubber door gasket. Here in ATL, that leaves a yellow high water line during pollen season.
Kudos that your liner is still intact.
