Yes sir, you are spot on......those bushings at ride height will provide zero dampening or suspension spring rate. Once they are torqued, connecting the control arms to the bushing mounts, then you add/subtract a small amount of stiffness (in torsion). THose rubber bushings actually shear (torsional strain) with suspension travel. That is why I let them float at full normal weight, so the strain in them was zero. I will likely get the wife & inlaws to pile into the convertible, and then torque them all to spec.
Yup, the new BogeTurbo shocks up front are probably to blame for the height increase, compared to the 20+ year old original blue shocks which were there.
I've got a the rear set of matching shocks yet to install......perhaps I need to put them in an see how she looks then?
