Winter beater hitting a roadblock Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Sat, 23 Nov 2013 08:01:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
CBS and I seem to be doing a lot of the same stuff... I'm getting past most of my roadblocks... the last roadblock was the metal hanger welded to the body for the rubber muffler hanger to hang from... well, it rusted so much that it cracked off (more like crumbled off)... jury rigged something for now... I really envy the Californians here!
but I'm currently dealing with one of my pet peeves - installing rubber muffler and tail pipe hangers... is it just me, or are these things always impossible to get on? on top of that, I went to check out the hanger on the back of the other c900 to compare size etc... that one had cracked, so I need to do that one also... FWIW, ROL p/n BR427 (it's for an older Honda/GM) was on the winter beater before, and it is a touch longer than the SAAB one and an expansion slot, so should be a tad easier to install... *should*... I'm fighting with it also... the stuff does not like to stretch! The ROL one has also outlasted 2 Saab ones (well whatever came in the eeuro kit), so that's not too bad... it's even "Made in Canada"!
anyone have any tricks for getting them on? swearing doesn't seem to have done much so far...
