Yep, As Roger says, there is a sleeve or "collar" that fits into the flat arm and the bolt passes through it. You probably dropped it when you removed the assembly. If it's inside the gearbox you can probably fish it out with one of those stick magnets mechanics love. In order, from the head of the little bolt; bolt, flat washer, flat arm, sleeve, threaded hole in rod. You also have to be sure that the flat rotating finger slips into the slot of the idler gear while the slot at the top of the flat arm engages the pin on the bronze reverse gear slider. That requires holding the sleeve in the flat arm with the bolt withdrawn while raising the assembly upwards into position. Then you run the screw in. You are supposed to put medium strength loctite on the bolt threads too. Be sure to test reverse engagement a few times before closing it up. I can post a few pictures later in the morning if needed. I'm not going out to the shop at 4 AM, I think it's haunted (or maybe it's just mice).
