Yeah the whole assembly fell into the oil catch pan and I fished it out when I filled the jug with the used oil(just recycled the oil, checked to make sure no parts in it as I poured it out) so it must have fallen by itself into the transmission at the same time as the rest fell outward - figures...
Makes so much more sense that the arm can rotate on a sleeve and keep from binding up - no wonder the transmission won't work without it - that's critical... and appears to be left off in all the pictures I looked at (which explains why I couldn't figure out what was missing from it all)
THANKS guys, I was up late and I hate rushing jobs, which I'd rather not as these are fun to work on if I take my time when necessary and have all the parts :)
