1992 900 Clutch repair

I have been reverse bleeding my leaking clutch everyday for the past 5 months – it is now no longer possible to get a full day out of the clutch – the leak is getting worse. I now only get 1 hour of use on the clutch before pressure/resistance is gone.
I will probably attempt a slave cylinder overhaul this week. I have read most of the tips and tricks, Townsend and Twinsaab info.
What other seals would leak fluid besides the 3 rubber O-rings on the slave cylinder? Clutch shaft seal? Would removing the plastic shroud reveal other leak points?
I read on the TwinSaab site re. turning the flywheel: “To keep the timing chain from going slack, you should move the engine counter-clockwise only.” Would that be counter clockwise as I stand in front, looking at the flywheel or, counter clockwise as I sit in the car?
At this time I am not planning on replacing the slave, resurfacing the flywheel or changing the rear main seal.
Thanks
