Have you considered that you may have a defective master cylinder? Can you see fluid leaking from the slave cylinder? Slave cylinders with defective seals leak externally while a master cylinder with bad seals can leak externally OR internally. When the clutch doesn't work does it get better if you pump the pedal a bunch? That usually points toward a bad master cylinder. Pulling off the shroud provides a good view of the slave cylinder and is a good second step in finding leaks. The first step being to just look under the car when it's been parked and examine the master to slave line and master cylinder for evident leaks. When master cylinders have external leaks the fluid will often run down the firewall and behind the carpet. You might not notice it until you pull the carpet back. The clutch shaft seal is unrelated to the clutch hydraulic system. That seal can be hard to remove, they are usually a tight fit in the bore and there isn't much room to maneuver for pulling it out. Of course it can be done, just be prepared for a battle. Press the new one in with a 1/2" threaded rod, washers and nuts. The flywheel normally rotates counter clockwise when viewed standing in front of the car. (Fun fact: Most car engines rotate clockwise when viewed from the end opposite the flywheel and the B202 is no exception but is installed "backwards" in the C900 so viewing it from in front of the car it will be seen to rotate counter-clockwise.)
