Bob - - It would be a shame to get a new thread cut and then keep turning hard at the end and start stripping the new threads. So watch where you are and as you approach the end, go just till the die reaches the fatter part of the post.
The thread won't be perfect up near that stop, but you shouldn't need to run the nut all the way up, with a fat washer or two on there.
You can reverse the die in the diestock after getting there, then run it in just all the way again. That should make more perfect threads all the way to the shoulder.
