I had a Mighty Mite vacuum bleeder stashed in my garage that I picked up for 50 cents at a garage sale. Didn't really know how to use it since I had always used inner-tube/bike pump method. [though not having an extra cap I just cut a larger circle of rubber from around the inner-tube valve to fit under the existing cap.] Anyway, the mighty mite came with fittings and hose but no plastic catch jar to collect the fluid before it damages the pump. I decided to ponder it and hey maybe a mason jar would accept the jar top fitting included with the kit?. Though it seems like the modern day engineering concept is to design so that only proprietary equipment can be used...it fit and sealed perfectly. Was able to bleed six brake fittings in 25 minutes without removing any wheels. Looking forward to using it on a MC bleed!
