One caution note is when you get the kit, it has a special rubber hose that is injection fuel line that is also submersible -- do not discard this short line and don't use anything else except the submersible type of fuel line made for high pressure.
Next caution is to make sure when you cut the hard black plastic line, that you leave a correct remainder on the side that you have to push the rubber line over to bridge from the pump line manifold to the pump itself. If you cut it in the wrong place, there is no place for it to hold on.
If you already cut it too far, you can try to use a heat gun to soften the black line to pull it off the plastic barbs in the line manifold. Just don't try to cut it off and score the plastic barb creating a leak path. And by all means don't use a heat gun if you have any presence of fuel !!!
I find the small clamps to be of average quality, and try to find better ones when I assemble.
Make sure the basket is clean, and now is the opportunity to get inside the tank and get all the debris out of it. You'll be surprised how much particulate matter is down there. Getting out the remainder fuel is a pain and you have to make sure you are well aware of using extreme safety precautions. So, let a pro do it if you have any reservations.
And like Larry said, the Walbro insert is a good unit.
