thanks all for the responses. The bentley makes it sound like you remove 2 bolts and it falls out, but it sure doesn't look that easy. Starter was a bit of a wrestle to pull out of there, so that was my main concern. Tips and Townsend link are much appreciated.
Has anyone used the KAE voltage regulator from eeuro? any issues with it?
I probably should have just got the Bosch, as there were some subtle differences. I suspect there are other issues also as the bosch brush length was still ok. It's been in there a long time and has had the vreg changed numerous times.
