The problem sounds heat related. You might try looking at the engine at night with the spark plug cover removed when the problem is present. I have seen a spark plug wire go bad and ground out. In the dark you can see the blue arc.
You could also disconnect one component at a time to see if you can isolate the problem.
It really boils down to spending a lot of time under the hood looking things over, swapping parts and reading this board and the Bentley.
