Base boost when warm Posted by JB90 [Email] (#1688) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JB90) on Sat, 24 Jun 2017 05:07:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Over the past year I've dug into checking most the of turbo boost controls as I try get the APC system fully functional, I've installed a calibrated boost gauge which has been helpful. The car is a 91, everything is stock except for the APC. That came from my previous SPG and had been tuned by its previous owner.
Right now I will consistently get full boost (12-13 psi) when the engine is cold. This time of year that only last for 5 min or so. Once the engine warms up the car drops to base boost of around 6-7 psi. Its frustrating when it hits that cutoff going up a hill, it almost feels like the clutch is slipping which I assume is just the waste-gate. As always, any thoughts appreciated.
