Speaking of motor mounts I ran for a while with the front motor mount broken -- the front of the engine was shifted slightly to the right. I had trouble putting into 5th, and it was too eager to come out of 5th. In fact, there were a couple times it popped out of 5th driving on Rhode Island roads.
