Nathan,
Yes, my radio lights worked fine (they are not on the same circuit as the climate control lights, they get their light from the radio power source). Anyways, my climate control lighting didn't work; my fan speed selector, air distribution switch, and temperature knob, all didn't work. It was definitely annoying at night, but at the same time my 4 push button switches down near the cigarette lighter (ac, defrost, recirc, 4-ways) lit up just fine. Well every once in a blue moon the climate control lighting would work for a day or two, so I figured I had a bad or loose connection somewhere. One night, i was quite frustrated by this and actually smacked the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel, cursing at this swedish engineering marvel. Low and behold, the climate controls lit up. hahahah.. Well, I then carefully played around with all the accessories over on that side of the steering wheel, and found out that when I wiggled my dimmer switch to just the right angle, the climate control lights worked. Jackpot!! I actually had an extra dashboard in my garage, so I removed the old dimmer switch and replaced it with the one from my donor dashboard. The removal was quite easy. Pop off the the knob itself, and then unscrew the thin bolt holding the switch to the facia panel. Then it pulls out, and remove the wire clips attached to it. Installation is reverse of removal. Good luck!
Jake
