OK... thinking about purchasing the AID unit from SPG9... just wondering what others have found out using this nifty device and what timing they have now set their cars at, so i can set it propoerly too.
I have bent the stop pin back in the distributor advance to get more retard under boost, and this has helped a truckload with how car performs and has eliminated knock allt ogether! but still needs that little extra assist off the line before boost kicks in at just about 2,000rpm... i run to a solid 20psi and can hold it steady there till redline in 3rd to 5th if wanted - usually run to a more sedate 16psi to baby the tranny!
I run the usual performance mods from those evil twins at SPG9 - stage 2 APC, 24lb injectors, RRFPR set at 2.5bar at idle, larger i/c ducts, 2.5 inch exhaust from cat back, hi flow cat and muffler, 2.75 inch down pipe to cat, mitusbishi TE-05 turbo from a later C900 and only ever use 98RON fuel.... etc.
cheers in advance
