...'cause you guys probably have more experience with your Saab's and different tire combos than we next door at the 9-5 section do. Here's the problem. Many of us (non-aero types) who have upgraded to performance tires, at least from what I can determine from the many posts on the subject, have been reporting problems - cupping, other forms of uneven wear - especially on the rear. Now, some have suggested that the 9-5 suspension is simply too soft for performance tires and that that fact is the cause of our problems. Others say it's the size. Many have us have gone from the stock size of 215/55/16 to 225/50/16. There's a suggestion that the 225s are simply too wide for the OEM rims and that's what's behind the wear problems many of us are experiencing. Any thoughts much appreciated.
