Not sure what you will find here will help much as the 9000 and the 9-5 have totally different rear suspension designs. The 9000's beam axle although fairly sophisticated in its location design is still pretty basic. Not too much different than an old wagon axle, it pretty much keeps both tires parallel under all conditions and does not address any aspects of camber, toe, or deflection change so that the tires can be kept at a near ideal angle to the road surface. The 9-5 on the other hand is much more advanced and independent. This design allows better wheel control and angles to the road surface, but due to that advanced design can create wear problems if something isn't quite right. I don't know how, or even if, the 9-5 rear suspension can be aligned, but I would recommend to you guys that a good quality 4-wheel alignment is in order to see what comes out of that. I have had one car once that only cupped one rear tire and it turned out to be a toe problem on that corner discovered at 16K miles from new. Reason accordinging to the mechanic was poor quality control of axle location at the factory and enough clearance in the axle component mounting holes to allow for it. Another one I had couldn't hold a good rear alignment for more than about 12-15K miles and for no apparent good, or fixable reason. You guys could have similar issues with the 9-5. Sometimes the simplest design is best even though it might not be the greatest in terms of design or potential performance.
