Hi,
I have a 93 9K/non turbo/5sp with 150k miles. The shift lever seems to move quite a bit for and aft when going on and off the gas, maybe up to an inch at the top of the shifter. Lately I have noticed a vibration in the shifter and in the seat as well while driving. Well it must be the motor mounts I thought. Pulled the wheel and liner and did the prybar test. The rubber seems to be in good shape with no tears. What I don't know if it is normal for the engine, after prying it up, to oscillate several times before comming to a stop. It is like it was a soft rubber mount. I thought that perhaps being a "Hyd" mount that maybe ther was a dampning system in the mount that like a shock should stop this.
Should the engine oscillate several times after being released from being pryed up with a crow bar or should a good mount damp this out ?
Thanks for any help
Tom
