Hi,

just did a couple of tests and mods involving the use of my ISAT tool.
Yesterday I remembered that when I bought the car, the hose to the MAP sensor was broken (probably due to a nice little animal). I ordered the original one from SAAB (they say the length and material are very important) but meanwhile put a piece of vacuum hose instead. I just had the impression I had better boost then, so I changed that line again and went for an adaptation run (must be about # 100 soon). Well, during the first two runs, nothing really different happened but, during the 3rd run, I suddenly got much boost (beginning of the red). So I kept on testing and the high boost stayed !
The problem I still have is this boost fluctuation between 2500 and 3000 rpm.
I also noticed that I can use ISAT to monitor boost pressure (the readings are absolutely the same as with my SAAB boost gauge) but during the runs I lost contact several times which never happens when I monitor things like temp or rpm. Is this of any importance ????

Now the other questions :

- the AERO is supposed to run 1.08 bar max boost, but when : only peak, only through a certain rev range or from 1.800 up to 5.000 ??? I ask because I get 1.2 peak, then 1.08 but then, during this fluctuation, I get only about .095-.097 and then about 1.0 after 3000 rpm again.

- does any other 94 AERO owner have (or did he have)this 2500-3000 boost fluctuation ???

- could it be the 3 rubber hoses from the BPC valve are worn with the age and the heat, causing this fluctuation ????

I know this is a long posting BUT I HAVE TO FIND OUT !!!!

Thanks so much

Alain

NB: They (Pirelli) say that Power is nothing without Control, I say ISAT is nothing without Experience (but very nice if you get to know it)!
