I do not have a Rodeo, but I can highly recommend the Trooper, and feel pretty good about all Isuzus. I bought my 94 Trooper new, and have never been stranded with it once in 147K miles. Everything works great, except the retractable mirrors-the machinery gets clogged at about 50K and they are useless afterwards. My clutch master cyl blew out on me once, under the 60K warranty, but otherwise the clutch is fine and it still pushes the boat up my driveway backwards. While it is no aero, the 3.2 is relatively strong for a 4400lb vehicle, and does alright with a boat attached to it of equal wt. I've also driven it through several witners of 190+ inches of snow. It has gotten me home in the worst of weather. I keep it on the side of my house for just such an emergency, and drive it once every two weeks to keep it moving. I openly vow to keep it at least 8 more years, and I'm pretty sure it will make it.
