What A.Snaab had to say is very meaningful and wise. Pay close attention to his message. It works for more than just car-hopping!
BUT --
I do have to say that I owned a '97 9K CSE Turbo with a/t, that was totalled not due to my fault. I then had to find/purchase another and now am in a '98 9K CSE Turbo with a/t (I commute and had had enough of manual shifting...). Even though they say that these two cars have the same engine, I swear my '98 is quicker and faster than the '97. Both cars had 40K miles on them when I purchased them (actually, both this year--I didn't have the '97 for too long), and were in mint condition, body and mechanical. The '98 comes standard with 16" nicer-looking alloys, plus with the idea that not many were made for the U.S.
