I'm in the process of getting this job done now. I am buying a TAQ-programmed ECU from an individual who is changing his requirements and buying another unit. Other vendors are Maptun and Abbott, with Abbott being the most expensive. To my knowledge, all require an ECU be sent to be programmed, but all Trionic cars use T5 ECU's, except '93's I think, so you could pick one up from a parts dealer for $100-200.
With max boost of ~20 psi, enlarging the exhaust is mandatory to keep EGT's (exhaust-gas temps) in line and reduce back-pressure. I ordered a down-pipe from Sweden through this other individual and a 3" cat and muffler from http://www.promuffler.com of Corpus Christi, TX. Both are high-flow units and were inexpensive and appear to be well-made. The muffler is SS, though an almuninized unit is also available for $25 less. I will have a local muffler shop fabricate the pipe between cat and rear muffler when everything arrives, and will not use a resonator (middle muffler).
We ordered four DP's and one person has backed out of the deal, so we will have one extra that is available, in case you're interested. Email me if you need more info on this. Also, the guy engineering all of this has a spare T5 ECU, I think. I am averse to modifying my Aero's original ECU, as one day I might want to retrofit it.
