1. This is usually caused by burnt out bulbs behind the instrument cluster. Your local Saab dealer will have them for a buck at most. Unfortunately, it is a bit of a pain to get to them. First, just to check, shine a flashlight onto the LCD dash readout. Press your dash readout select button and you should be able to see the LCD function, just without the back lighting. Sometimes cupping your hand over the area to prevent glare helps. If you see it, great. Go get the bulbs, take your dash apart and replace the broken bulbs behind the instrument cluster. You might have to physically remove the instrument cluster to get at the lights. If you don't see anything at all, the LCD circuit is probably fried and you'll have to replace the instrument cluster if you want those functions.
2. No, the clicking sound is not normal, though your car may function fine with it for quite awhile (or breakdown tomorrow). It is most likely either the timing chain, balance shaft, or serpentine belt system But, I would bring it to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out.
As far as problems 3 and 4 go, I have not yet experienced them on my Saab :) And I think it'd be better for someone on this board more knowledgable than me to answer them. Good luck, enjoy your Saab!
