I think they're talking about poor engine block grounding more than anything. Most of the electrical systems should be well grounded. If you have poor engine block grounding, you'll stress most everything with the heavy starter motor current. I have to wonder if most of the Saab heater core problems aren't due to the quick disconnect o-rings.
