electronic braincracker - a puzzle to solve

Folks,
The '92 CSE 2.3T auto is displaying a puzzling glitch in the electronics. Here goes:
With the engine cold, I switch on current. All is well. Every thing works fine. As soon as I start the engine:
1. ACC switches itself off; (off led =on)
2. EDU display switches off (the one beneath the speedo, clock unit works)
3. Fuel meter goes down (after an while)
4. Electric seat adjustment driver seat fails (passenger one works!)
5. After going out first, the ABS warning light goes up again
At the same time all display light bulbs start glowing more intensely, as well as the low beam (if switched on). To avoid blowing them, I switch the beam off. Initially I didn't, and it cost me 8 55W bulbs the last two months, all of which were the right hand side front bulbs!
Now after one minute all comes on again, back to normal, although to reset the anti-lock light I need to restart the engine. No problem.
My dealer was totally puzzled, and measured it for about a week. They replaced:
1. The battery (has a 74Ah Bosch now)
2. The main positive cable to the starter
3. The ignition switch
4. cleaned all contacts and relays
All of which didn't help. So I didn't have to pay for it either :-)
Recently it started to display similar behaviour every now and then when going over 90 mph on the highway, but also then all would come back on again after about a minute.
Now what can this be? Basically happened after a R12 to R134 Airco retrofit, although not sure that this caused it to happen. Can it be the voltage regulator?
TIA
Jan Geert
