Twice when I have had strange electrical symptoms, it has been a bad ground (earth in the UK). Once it was the circuit board in the instrument cluster, and all lights flashed strangely when the turn signal was on, with the turn signal relay buzzing strangely. New ground wire from the circuit board fixed it. I've heard some people say that Saabs tend to have inadequate ground wires in some circuits.
