I am geneally in agreement with suggestions. I would lift both frontwheels off ground, block one and turn other one by hand to minimize damages. There is no seperate actuator on the 1-2 shaft, so it should not be possible to engage first and second gear at the same time. By turning engine by hand for one full revolution and measure how far the wheel has turned you may determine what gear the transmission is in. The %th gear seems to be a weak one and without much difficulty you can take off the transmission endcover and claerly see %th gear and possibly with a flahlight determine where the problem may be.
